SUMMARY
Monitors receiving and shipping traffic/freight for warehouse to ensure customer service levels are met. Ensures efficient utilization of receiving docks and efficient supply of materials to and from contract manufacturers. Oversees all receiving areas of the facility and ensures product is received in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates and maintains records of all incoming shipments, including item descriptions, quantities, and any discrepancies of damage noted during inspection.Ensures daily compliance of the receiving schedule. Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments.Contact carriers, sales reps, vendors, brokers, freight forwarders, etc. when needed.Verifies deliveries according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)Resolves errors and customer complaints and ensures effective corrective measures are put into place.Analyzes and documents system process flow. Recommends and develops better solutions to achieve process improvement and expense reduction. Develops written procedures to document processes and to assist in training.Performs basic computer applications for item inquiry, order organizer, receiving transactions, invoicing, etc. to help process the shipment.Prepares and prints shipping labels corresponding to shipment needs.Assumes responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.Reconciles inbound deliveries and allocates them to designated location(s).Ensures quality and effective communication between internal and external customers, leadership, and quality.Legibly completes required inspections, written and electronic reports.Actively participates in root cause analysis and other plant continuous improvement initiatives.
