VersaDesk is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Process Engineering Intern to join our team. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will be involved in key areas of production at Versa, working directly with our team of 30 employees across metal, wood, and assembly departments. You will assist in optimizing production workflows, managing orders, performing time studies, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in production planning, quality control, and process improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Production Planning: Assist in developing production schedules to ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment while meeting customer demands.Order Management: Track and manage orders throughout the production process, ensuring they are completed on time and delivered according to schedule.Quality Control and Quality Assurance: Develop and implement a new QC and QA plan for Versa, establishing procedures to monitor product quality at each stage of production. Perform quality checks to ensure consistency and address any defects or issues as they arise.Time Studies: Conduct time studies on production processes to identify bottlenecks, improve workflow efficiency, and minimize waste.Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and document SOPs to standardize processes and ensure consistency across the production teams for metal, wood, and assembly manufacturing.Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on production metrics, analyze data for trends, and provide insights to improve process efficiency and output quality.Basic Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and time study techniquesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other reporting toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAttention to detail and a proactive approach to tackling complex issues
