Description
The Branch Scenario Desk Specialist position partners with Branch LO's, Operations, and Underwriting to provide daily guidance on loan scenarios to ensure files are qualified and structured appropriately. Resolves loan file issues early in the loan process and saves production underwriters time by resolving complicated issues prior to submission. Communicates with branch and corporate employees in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
Lead, manage and hold the team accountable for achieving agreed-upon objectives:
•Resolve issues effectively - seeing real problems, and being comfortable offering solutions to make the loan work•Track daily, weekly, and monthly metrics•Ensure files are submitted within 48 hours of disclosing•Support for a region of Loan Officers to bring tough files and scenarios to•Ensure files are properly pre-approved and structured correctly•Research scenarios with underwriting and investor guides, offer out of the box solutions
Qualifications
•5+ years of Mortgage experience•Ability to run LP and DU•Positive, team player mindset•Solution-oriented and able to take action when needed•Encompass experience preferred but not required•Solid knowledge and understanding of FHAVAUSDA, FNMA, and FHLMC policies and guidelines•Solid knowledge and understanding of FHAVAUSDA, FNMA, and FHLMC policies and guidelines•Solid knowledge and understanding of TILA, RESPA, and Predatory Lending•Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage loan processing, compliance, investor products, and underwriting guidelines•Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage insurance (MI) guidelines•Solid knowledge and understanding of various fraud tools•Solid knowledge and understanding of processing and closing functions and a general understanding of the entire real estate lending process.•Extensive knowledge and understanding of Investor, FHA, and Fannie Mae guidelines
