Job Title: Inclusion Specialist
Position Classification: Part-time; Mon-Fri. 2:30pm-until child leaves;
Reports To: Campus Director General Function:
Plan, implement, facilitate, and supervise activities and events for special needs. Create a positive learning environment to facilitate the members' personal, social, and intellectual development in order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of the members. Assist in toiletry and feeding of club member if needed. Promote safety of members, quality of programs, and appearance of the Club at all times.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: · Ability to deal effectively with staff, youth, parents, local community leaders, schools and churches
· Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of youth development.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Special Education or related field or 2 years program delivery experience with special needs. Job Responsibilities: · Plan, implement, facilitate, supervise, and evaluate all programs, activities, and events.
· Understand the Club's philosophy, vision, and goals.
· Develop special events and activities for core program areas.
· Plan and implement quality programs for youth.
· Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
· Motivate members through effective communication and evaluative feedback.
· Implement and develop curriculums that are aligned with program themes and events.
· Assist in the execution of national projects and exhibits.
· Assist in toiletry and feeding to include changing diapers (if needed).
· May be required to lift child.
· Mentor and inspire youth, adults and volunteers in the creative process.
· Keep records of participants, schedules, attendance and program results.
· Mandatory First Aid/CPR.
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities while at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, standing for up to four hours per day, and ability to implement programs. Skills essential for success include speaking, writing and knowledge of the computer.
End Results: Program participants will learn applicable skills that will help prepare them to be successful in life through fun engaging activities.
