IT & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT SUMMARY : This position is responsible to assist in the oversight of networking and connectivity for 100-150 office computers & laptops located at various facilities in South Bend, New York, and Indianapolis. Duties include providing technical support for all departments, production, sales, accounting, and other related staff. This position assists the Director of IT in its efforts to provide hardware and software technical support & setup of all office computers using both Windows and MAC OS including the installation of various software applications, and phone system support. RESPONSIBILITES : Purchasing, setup & configuration of Windows and Mac Computers, monitors, & other necessary peripherals for all staff. Installation/setup of email accounts and other related software applications. Setup of all Users and User ID's within various applications and the network. Provide technical assistance to all staff as needed. Monitoring of Cybersecurity software for spam & content filtering of web and email traffic. Assist in managing the day-to-day operations. Ensure compliance with software licensing for Adobe, Microsoft, Symantec End Point Protection. Oversee maintenance & service agreement for all copiers, printers, scanners onsite, initiate service calls for repairs at all locations. Perform other related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: MS Certification not necessary but the right candidate must possess the following skills; Experience with computer repair and hardware essential. Having ability to disassemble & reassemble computers & laptops. Perform minor repairs, hard drive replacement, adding memory, laptop display & keyboard replacement, etc. Must have knowledge of computer networking. Ability to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve hardware, software and networking issues. Having a basic fundamental knowledge of working on Windows based and QNAP servers. Able to respond in a timely manner, prioritizing immediate needs while multi-tasking other responsibilities. Able to be trained and well versed with multiple systems Sound technical skills & analytical ability. Keeping systems up to date and staying current with knowledge of new emerging technologies. Organizational and project management skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Excellent listening skills, integrity, polite, friendly, approachable demeanor required. Ability to work well with other staff and share information. Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards, trustworthy and an appropriate professional image. Well-organized and self-directed with a team-player approach.
