Per Diem Option 1A, must commit to work a minimum of 24 hours per six (6) week scheduling period. One shift must be an evening, night, weekend or holiday as applicable to operations. You will work on site at 8501 Excelsior Dr in Madison, WI.

We are seeking an experienced critical care

Registered Nurse (RN)

to:

Provide virtual support from our eICU command center to patients of UW Health, Meriter, Monroe, Freeport, Richland, Platteville, Mauston, Sauk Prairie, Portage and Medford hospitals with acute illnesses as well as management of chronic conditions.

Virtually round on an average of 35 patients per shift, admit patients, and respond to changing vital signs.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change while also collaboratively mentoring RNs at regional sites through the mentorship program.

Work collaboratively with RNs, a nursing assistant and an intensivist each shift. Nurses on this team have an average of 20 years of ICU experience!

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required

eICU: Two (2) years of nursing experience Required

Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required

Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required

ACLS within 6 months Required

Relevant certification Preferred
