Job Summary

Sun Tribe EPC ("ST EPC") is Virginia's premier utility scale Solar design and build firm focused on designing and constructing sub 20MW ground mounted Solar Photovoltaic (PV) facilities. The Vice President of Project Management ("VPPMO") is an executive leadership position Sun Tribe EPC with broad responsibility for project outcomes. The VPPMO position stewards' responsibility for recruiting, training, managing and retaining best-in-class talent and supporting them with the development of processes and systems to drive consistent successful project delivery.

The Vice President of Project Management Office (VPPMO) position will be asked to embrace a servant leadership model by coaching and improving effectiveness of the team members around them. This position is accountable for the safe, on time and within budget delivery of utility scale solar projects along with regular, consistent, accurate communication to executive leadership.

The VPPMO position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with high value clients, internal project teams, and executive management.

Principal Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Framework Ensures all company HSSE systems and processes are in place and followed and that safety first culture is established and maintained on all projects. Champions a team-oriented, transparent, and supportive culture. Embrace a servant leadership model. Establishes, develops, and champions standardized Project Management workflows, processes, and procedures such that projects are delivered consistently between management teams to internal and external customers. Establishes, documents, maintains and reports on individual and project metrics. Reports weekly on project metrics to ST EPC executive management team Supports, develops, and creates systems and expectations of perpetual improvement in project delivery Collaborates with directors across the business unit to maximize alignment and enable other department successes Supports strategic ST EPC wide RACI and SOP development, creation, training, roll out and maintain compliance. Leverages existing digital took kits to embrace consistent and efficient project delivery. Regularly review and report project progress, schedule, and Estimate at Completion ("EAC") Assigns project management resources to incoming EPC projects Manages direct reports to achieve successful project outcomes on Safety, Environmental, Quality, Schedule, and Cost. Maintains active relationships with appropriate leadership of our asset owner partners. Complex Problems & Issue Resolution

Autonomously solves project challenges within project schedule, scope, and budget constraints Serves as the first stop for issue elevation by project management teams and work alongside project management teams to reach resolution Engages other ST EPC leadership as necessary to resolve issues Elevates issues to CEO as necessary Prime Contracts and Labor Subcontracts

Supports executive leadership with Prime EPC contract negotiation Supports Supply Chain function and PM with Subcontract negotiations to reach favorable outcomes for ST EPC on price, schedule, and terms. Establishes and maintains leadership level relationships with subcontracting partners. Supports PM's and provides executive leadership to resolve subcontractor performance management and commercial issue resolution. Supports PM and provides executive leadership with all EPCM change order negotiation and client issue resolution Project Scope

Diligently reviews and coaches project management teams through evaluation of the prime EPC agreement, development documents, owner requirements, and engineering drawings to fully understand project scope Implements strategies to eliminate contractual scope gap and support SOW creation to ensure all project scope is fully addressed within a project specific execution plan. Coaches and works alongside project managers to understand all required Owner deliverables. Create expectations, workflows, and systems to support PM team in tracking, completing, and reporting on Owner deliverables. Coaches and works alongside project management teams to understand and define owner turnover requirements. Create expectations, workflows, systems to support PM team in completing turn over deliverables throughout the project life cycle Manages project teams to maintain compliance with open permits and diligently close environmental permits. Project Risk

Ensures the regular and consistent identification, tracking, reporting and mitigation of project risk. Avoids legal action and negotiates settlements as necessary Leads project crisis management efforts Project Cost

Accountable for completing projects under budget and evaluating if budget modifications are required to be requested and issuing such request. Ensures data integrity of weekly reported project EAC to be accurate and complete Ensures all weekly, monthly cost forecasts and reports are consistent, timely and accurate. Project Schedule

Accountable for completing projects on or before the contractually required substantial completion date Ongoing review and approval of project schedules scanning for logic, risks, opportunity, scope gaps. Drives schedule accountability among project management teams Ensures timely, accurate, consistent and compliant updates and issuance of project schedules to client and internal stakeholders. Basic Qualifications

A 4-year college degree in Engineering, Construction Science or related fields is highly desired An advanced degree is preferred A minimum six (6) years of experience in solar EPC project management required A minimum of fifteen (15) cumulative years of experience in renewables, industrial, and/or power EPC construction Skills & Experience

Demonstrable success in driving action in alignment with Sun Tribe Core values Experience leading organizations through periods of change Safety and quality focused individual Demonstrated success managing teams to execute EPC projects Strong understanding of legal contract documents Significant experience negotiating prime contract and/or service subcontractor agreements. Documented experience executing complex construction projects High proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project High level understanding of civil, electrical, and structural construction plans Collaborative, problem solver, that seeks to improve those around them Requirements

Current, valid Driver's License, eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage Demonstration of company core values; Community, Safety, Perpetual Improvement, Nature, Joy, and Respect The ability to travel is required; travel to worksites and projects as needed Some evening and weekend work is required Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers
