The most enticing food experiences offer unmistakable flavors, tastes and scents with the power to awaken forgotten memories and create new ones. Consumers crave the authentic, delicious taste experiences of restaurant meals and original recipes made with fresh ingredients. But finding these same experiences in ready meals can be difficult.
One of the areas that we are focused on expanding is the growing store brands / private label categories in food and beverage. We are looking for a leader in the space to drive strategy, solutions, and actions that capitalize on our unique resources. You will report into the Head of Channel Sales (VP of Sales) and is highlighted with impact looking forward to our 2030 strategy. At your resource will be Givaudan's extensive portfolio of flavor and taste solutions, focused flavor creation and application scientists, consumer marketing and sensory insights, a footprint of locations build for customer co-creation throughout North America. As Director of Sales, you will define, then implement the playbook in this space, while managing a small, focused, dedicated team.
While this is considered a remote role, ideally Cincinnati, Ohio is the preferred location to be close to the technical teams and executive team, but we will consider other locations for the ideal experience.
Bring Your Passion:
Monitor market and grow sales (including Key Performance Indicators and budget) within the region, taking corrective actions to ensure sales goals are achieved. Develop Annual Business Plans to increase sales growth and profitability for key accounts with greatest potential. Develop partnerships with key accounts, including relationships with senior level management. Ability to build/maintain customer relationships with all customer decision makers and influencers, including customer senior managers across all teams.
Leverage the very best you have to offer : Manage Sales Team with full account and business management responsibility to protect and grow assets for designated accounts. Initiate, Manage, Monitor, and Close key projects / Sales with customer (external and internal) Technical, Marketing and Sales team mates. Ability to engage Account Management teams in building and periodic reviewing of Annual Business and Action plans.
Drive Excellence Everyday:
Manage all pricing negotiations and activities within the country, segment, category. Experience with Food & Beverage / flavor / ingredient landscape for North America. Knowledge of key account/segment/region/category, including market, general business climate, competitive landscape, financial potential, decision makers.
You?
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Food Science, Supply Chain or relevancy to our business and this role
10+ years of value added sales experience to top 10 retailers focused on the food/beverage space
Solid understanding of the retail Food & Beverage landscape in North America.
Knowledge and relationships with critical contract manufacturer partners
Experience in new product development project management
Previous knowledge, experience, or exposure to food ingredients
The ability to develop both strategic pathway in space and tactical deployment of resources
Previous people management experience in matrixed organization
Entrepreneurial leadership style
