The Construction Superintendent provides on-site leadership and coordination for all phases of commercial or residential construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding safely and in accordance with the established schedule and budget. Superintendents shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety. The Superintendent often provides leadership to field employees such as Laborers, Field Engineers, and Assistant Superintendents.
In conjunction with the project team, establish and maintain the master project schedule. Prepare a detailed 2 week look ahead schedule that reflects daily goals and labor activities to support overall project schedule.Conduct subcontractor precon meetings with each major subcontractor and CCG's PM by utilizing the standard Chesapeake template for the agenda.Proactively schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work for both schedule and quality control.Collaborate with CCG's Safety Department and adhere to the company's safety policy and required documentation. Create a jobsite specific safety plan.Attend Chesapeake's monthly Safety Meetings.Coordinate and monitor daily jobsite activities of the subcontractors and Owner's vendors, assist in future planning.Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed in accordance with the project documents and submittals. Inspect and track material deliveries and installation details to meet project documents (including approved submittals). Issue notices of non-compliance to sub-contractors regarding quality or work or scheduling.Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.Maintain a daily log and upload photos of activities on the jobsite.Identify conflicts in construction documents and address with the appropriate parties or communicate with senior project leadership for resolution.Schedule and run weekly subcontractor preconstruction meetings. Attend CCG Superintendent quarterly meeting.Prepare RFI's (to be formally submitted by the Project Manager) and include proposed solution.Review and understand approved Material Submittals.Ensure subcontractor has corrected any deficiencies identified by project team.Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions as well as third party inspections.Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.Train and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Laborers.Requirements
7+ years multifamily/commercial construction experience in a construction management or similar position with knowledge of all construction tradesFamiliarity with construction management and office productivity software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Procore, Microsoft Teams, or other web-based or mobile document and project management solutions.Possess a valid Driver's license in order to travel to assigned jobsites.Maintain OSHA 30, First Aid, & CPR Certification.Benefits

Compensation Range - $80,000 - $180,000 annually
