The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Strategic Initiatives Program Manager role is an integral member of the Partner Core Public Sector team and will help ignite the next growth phase of our cloud computing business using innovative and disruptive business models to create multi-year value for our customers, partners, and AWS.

In this global role, you will own the implementation and results of high visibility initiatives with Public Sector partners. Some of these initiatives include investments with strategic Channel partners, Gen AI accelerators, and Enterprise Transformation at scale. You will work cross-functionally with AWS Sales, Partner Management, Finance, and Legal teams to solution around these initiatives. You will work in tandem with the teams that support some of AWS' most strategic partners including Distributors, System Integrators, and Software vendors.

The ideal candidate has extensive Business Development experience, as well as experience with Program or Project Management. This role also requires demonstrated experience managing cross functional relationships, performing financial analysis, and using impeccable communication skills to influence a variety of internal audiences. You must be a self-starter and have the business accumen to unpack complex business needs. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be confortable with ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

• Own annual goals and performance for these initiatives in Public Sector.

• Work closely with Public Sector partner and sales teams on go-to-market motions.

• Leverage your business development and channel knowledge to solve highly complex business challenges working with Finance, Legal, and sometimes Technical teams.

• Develop data-driven narrative proposals for new initiatives or evolving programs, including return on investments and revenue forecasts.

• Build and execute a communications strategy to stakeholders, including reporting and other business cadences.

The Partner Core Public Sector team builds and manages programs and strategic initiatives that help accelerate the growth and revenue of AWS partners that work with Public Sector customers around the globe.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Excellent communications skills, including writing and presenting with accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA

Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Understanding of digital transformation and familiarity with AWS or cloud technology.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
