Citi Markets and FRM Technology are looking for Senior Java Developer Lead to join the FRM Technology Calculation Service team in charge of enhancing and maintaining a strategic stress modeling engine used for Liquidity Regulatory reporting and Recovery & Resolution Planning. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work with multiple trading desks, market risk managers and financial controllers to build out the strategic platform.

Responsibilities:

Familiar with regulatory requirements such as LCR, NSFR, and FR2052A.

Liaise with various business stakeholders and analysts on modeling enhancements of Liquidity Stress Tests on behalf of the development team. Form requirements, develop proof of concepts, and lead the development team in their efforts from inception to production.

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements

Optimize existing applications and database operations incorporating advanced techniques design patterns for maximum performance ensuring seamless data management while leveraging Hadoop ecosystem for storage and processing of large datasets.

Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary

Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources

Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

Foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence across the Enterprise: modern engineering practices, adoption of open source and open standards, creating a culture of collaboration and efficiency

Qualifications:

7+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role

Understanding of regulatory liquidity reporting concepts such as LCR, NSFR, and FR2052A regulations and capital markets.

Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications

Experience in managing and implementing successful projects

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development

Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic, high-volume, and complex environment with a practical solutions-driven approach and to adjust priorities and pivot quickly

Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, able to leverage relationships and work collaboratively across an organization.

Education:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
