Location: This position is hybrid, based in Laurel, MD 20707.
Role:Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior GIS Developer/Analyst to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on GIS technical assignments to assist in the development of geographic information systems applications.Responsibilities:
Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.Write programs and develop user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands to meet user needs in addition to performing simple spatial analyses and producing reports according to customer specifications.Assist in the development of geographic information systems applications which may link parcel mapsSupport implementation and maintenance of the ESRI GIS environment.Must be able to work with some direct supervision.Must have experience in some of the following: SQL, python, JavaScript, arcade.Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and processes.Design software solutions that adhere to programming best practices.Perform unit testing to validate solutions; assist with user acceptance testing.Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to Production.Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues.Follow service level agreement (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues.Collaborate with IT team to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget.Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendor.Work with COTS vendor to support, maintain, and upgrade applications.Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or related technical field and one (1) year minimum of relevant experience in GIS.Some knowledge of ESRI GIS technology suite.ESRI suite of tools and services, Javascript, SQL, Oracle or SQL databases, SharePoint, ServiceNow, MS Office products (Word, Excel).Clearance:
The ability to pass a background check is required.
