Bank Reconciliation Business Analyst - SmartStream TLMLocation:
New York, NY (Hybrid)Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Bank Reconciliation Business Analyst with a strong background in SmartStream's Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) solution to join our finance team. This role will focus on managing, analyzing, and optimizing the bank reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in transaction matching and exception management. The ideal candidate is familiar with financial services, possesses strong analytical skills, and has hands-on experience with TLM configurations and best practices.Responsibilities:Bank Reconciliation:
Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly bank reconciliation activities, ensuring all financial transactions and balances are accurately matched and reconciled.SmartStream TLM Administration:
Manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the SmartStream TLM platform, with a focus on bank reconciliations, cash, and securities reconciliation processes.Process Improvement:
Identify, analyze, and implement improvements in reconciliation processes by leveraging TLM's automation and reporting capabilities.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with finance, IT, and operations teams to understand reconciliation requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.Data Analysis & Reporting:
Develop reports and dashboards to provide visibility into reconciliation performance, transaction matching rates, and exception resolution.Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and escalate issues where necessary, working with the appropriate teams for timely resolutions.Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain detailed process documentation and ensure compliance with relevant policies and industry regulations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.Minimum 3+ years of experience in bank reconciliation or related financial operations.Strong expertise with SmartStream TLM (Transaction Lifecycle Management), specifically in bank reconciliation and exception management modules.Familiarity with banking and financial reconciliation processes and regulatory requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.Knowledge of SQL or other data extraction tools is a plus.This role combines technical expertise in TLM with a solid understanding of financial reconciliation processes, offering the opportunity to improve reconciliation efficiencies and ensure financial accuracy across our operations.
