Job Summary Geisinger ConvenientCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Berwick, PA.Job DutiesGeisinger ConvenientCare (urgent care) clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. L ump sum paid upon start. 2-year work obligation with department (not applicable for internal, lateral transfer)Attractive schedule Office Hours - Monday - Friday 8:45 am - 8:15 pm Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am - 6:15 pm14 rotating shifts/month; work every other weekendNo overnight shifts and no mandated additional shiftsCall approximately six nights per year; n o direct patient call - for critical lab, CT, etc.Six observed holidays

To learn more about Geisinger's many accolades, click here .Education and experience (Required):Due to the autonomous nature of the position, Advanced Practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one and older, and have at minimum six months of Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Critical Care Advanced Practice experience.The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position.
