The Corrugator Scheduler is responsible for scheduling orders on the corrugator to satisfy customer and internal requirements. Communicates production status to customer service, sales, and plant production personnel. Identifies potential problems in meeting schedules and recommends solutions.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Establish, monitor and adjust corrugator production schedules to maximize machine efficiency and ensure customer orders are completed on time.
Modify production schedule as necessary to prioritize and/or expedite orders based on customer requirements.
Identify potential problems in meeting schedules and recommend solutions.
Produce run sheets for corrugator.
Participate in production meeting and provide updates as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED.
Five (5) years’ of scheduling or customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding corrugated manufacturing.
Working knowledge of computer systems including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook computer systems including experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and manufacturing scheduling software.
Previous work experience as a member of a team, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing between team members.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed and may be required to work overtime.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Some college coursework.
Previous customer service experience in the corrugated industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong analytical abilities.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals throughout the company on departmental procedures, policies, practices, and requests for information.
