About the Team: Walmart is transforming to a digital company and investing in high margin Advertising business. Walmart Connect is building a robust in-house Advertising business that's key to Walmart's growth strategy. As a part of Walmart Connect, you'll build an industry-defining omni-channel platform at scale that enables Walmart suppliers to reach shoppers with relevant ads and high performing campaigns while helping shoppers discover products to enhance their shopping journey. Walmart Global Technology is hiring a Senior Manager Software Engineering with a successful record of leading large scale, complex, cross-functional software engineering projects. As part of Global E-Commerce Team supporting Advertising Products, you will be responsible for the hands-on leading and directing of end-to-end project initiatives and teams in tactical and strategic capacities. You will join a very high-performing team seeking those challenging us to become even better. You'll make an impact by: Supporting business objectives by collaborating with business and product management partners to identify opportunities and drive resolution; partnering with business and product management to define priorities; identifying short and long-term solutions; and leading cross-functional partnership Leading and participating in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; directing and reviewing design artifacts; overseeing software design; writing and developing code; reviewing unit test cases; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; directing project team and cross functional teams; enhancing design to prevent reoccurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team Lead the work of cross-functional groups of ten to twenty engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timeline; reviewing and approving proposed solutions; implementing new architectural patterns; and performing design and code reviews of changes Direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); directing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; directing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and reviewing and approving online documentation Leading the discovery phase of large projects to develop high level design by partnering with the Product Management, Project Management, Business and User Experience teams, Operations; obtaining cross-function approvals; driving proof-of-concept; and implementing prototypes to validate ideas Driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly developing contingency plans; demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning Providing supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; ensuring diversity awareness Promoting and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy Ensuring business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events You will sweep us off our feet if you: Live our Values Culture Champion Model Walmart values to foster our culture; hold oneself and others accountable; support Walmart commitment to communities, social justice, corporate social responsibility, sustainability; maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance Servant Leadership Act as an altruistic servant leader-consistently humble, self-aware, honest, and transparent Embrace Change Curiosity & Courage Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset; fosters an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking; and exhibit resilience in the face of setbacks Digital Transformation & Change Seeks and implements continuous improvements and encourages the team to leverage new digital tools and ways of working. Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00



Sunnyvale, California US-04396:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00



Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00



















Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
