Financial Reporting AccountantThe Financial Reporting Associate is responsible for supporting the preparation of SEC filings, including the 10Q's and 10-K, and assisting with monthly general ledger closing activities.Support the preparation and review of Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/KAid in the review of quarterly executive summary, call scripts, and earnings releasesPrepare supporting documentation and analyses for financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosuresAssist in researching new accounting guidance and ensuring compliance with US GAAPWork with internal and external auditors for year-end audit and reviewsImplement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirementsSupport month-end and year-end closing activitiesReconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly support schedulesAssist with accounting and integration for acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex accounting eventsIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reportingSkills:Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skillsStrong attention to detailExperience with Oracle or other ERP systems is a plusIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel requiredExpertise in US GAAP and SEC rulesAbility to develop analysis of accounts and financial statements with limited supervisionAbility to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentMinimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in AccountingCPA strongly preferred1-2 years of experience with a public accounting firm with exposure to SEC and financial reporting or 2-3 years of direct SEC financial reporting experienceWhy Choose GMR?Global Medical Response (GMR) offers comprehensive benefit options, including medical, vision, dental, 401k, disability, FSA, HSA, EAP, vacation, and paid time off.
