Job Description:
Staff Accountant (Entry Level)Reports To: Vice President/Senior ManagementFLSA Status:ExemptPosition Summary:The Staff Accountant prepares and distributes analysis schedules on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis and assists with the monthly closing process by posting journal entries. This role also tracks inventory values, analyzes costs, and reports findings to management.Duties and Responsibilities:Collect direct labor and product development labor data from the MRP system and prepare reports for management.Maintain data related to import supply chain costs for finished goods and materials.Collaborate with production and engineering to assess cost impacts of design changes, reporting effects on pricing and profitability.Update item costs in the MRP system.Assist with the month-end and year-end close of the General Ledger.Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts as directed.Perform other tasks as assigned by management.Qualifications:Proficient in MRP software and spreadsheet applications with complex formulas.Strong communication skills for interaction across various company levels and with external parties.Ability to prepare reports on various schedules and manage multiple deadlines.Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Access, Outlook, and Word is required.Education/Experience :Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Excellent analytical skills.Familiarity with Global Shop Solutions is advantageous.Experience working with engineering and manufacturing on cost standards is beneficial.EOE
Compensation:$60,000-$65,000 per year
