Join a team of construction industry professionals passionate about buildingSimply FasterWho you are:ConXtech is seeking an experienced construction / project management professional who is enthusiastic about managing and being the single point of contact for assigned ConXtech projects that consist of structural steel modular building frames. You enjoy being responsible for the entire project from design development to final project closeout. You are focused on goals that include completing projects safely, on schedule and on budget with ConXtech’s required level of quality and customer satisfaction.
You have:
Proficient Project Management skills used in the development and execution of projects located at a variety of client venues.A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Construction Management or Structural / Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the structural steel construction industry.An understanding of commercial construction processes.Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on field experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively function as a team.Leadership abilities with qualities required to effectively manage a variety of direct / indirect
reports.Ability and self-confidence to make key decisions, with self-awareness to consult guidance when needed.Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.Strong negotiation skills.Proficient modeling and detailing experience with Tekla Structures (preferably v20.0 & v2019i).Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Teams (remote working).Competence in the following software tools:
Procore (construction Admin - document control)Sage (accounting data)Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD and SketchUpBlueBeam
Experience with scheduling software, e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, et al.Ability to travel to project sites as needed.What you’ll be doing:As a Project Manager for ConXtech, you’ll:
Coordinate design and pre-construction services (i.e., estimating, scheduling, project planning, constructability, site utilization, etc.)Manage and facilitate the collaborative design and integration of the ConXtech system with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other sub trades insuring adequate and efficient interfaceProvide necessary information to engineers, modelers, and detailers to ensure proper design, fabrication, and installation of ConXtech componentsOversee all aspects of day-to-day management of construction projects, while also monitoring and coordinating work performed by detailing, engineering, vendors, and sub-contractorsProvide necessary management and coordination for permit and entitlement processesPrepare overall project plans, including identification of master design development schedule along with construction scheduleEvaluate project progress and construction practices to ensure budgetary and company goals are achievedReview and interpret proposed designs, details, and building specifications for appropriateness to required function standard, and initiate revisions where appropriate; advise clients as to how to best achieve the required resultsAuthorize the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders and approve contractor invoices for paymentResearch and prepare reports pertaining to cost, equipment, policies, procedures, and other issues, as appropriateKeep management informed of project progress and issues, particularly as to needed changes in scope, schedule, resources and productFacilitate monthly billing and required payment application to ensure timely and accurate contractor billingCoordinate with detailing, purchasing, fabrication and construction for timely, on budget, and accurate execution of our scope of workPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedWhere you’ll be working:You’ll be working remotely from home with the occasional onsite meeting as needed at a satellite office or our company headquarters in Pleasanton, CA. There are restrictions to this opportunity and therefore we are looking for candidates in the following states: CA, CO, PA, TX, or WA.
