Privately owned wholesale company in Bridgewater, MA looking to hire a Technology Director to lead our team. This position works under the direction of the Board, with minimal supervision. The Technology Director will manage and supervise our organization's technical operations which includes overseeing the current technology team, all technology related functions, and ensuring our technology systems and applications support the organization's goals and objectives. We are a medium sized family owned business with a 50 year history in the wholesale metals industry. We offer a very generous benefits package and a true family atmosphere. This position will be onsite, applicants bust be in commuting distance to Bridgewater, MA.
Duties and responsibilities
The Director of Technology will be expected to:Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and support in their career development.Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.Day-to-day management of the team including scheduling, performance evaluations, 1-1 feedback, addressing performance issues in a timely manner if/when needed.Develop, implement, and evaluate IT projects in line with organizational goals.Manage the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking systems.Collaborate with board members, technology team, staff members and outside vendors to develop and strategize technological infrastructure and systems.Manage projects related to the implementation, testing and roll out of new systems and technologies.Develop and maintain disaster recovery, security and business continuity plans.Consult with various levels of management to identify business and technology needs to optimize department workflow and efficiencies.Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring the system performance.Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems.Keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and recommend how they can be leveraged to improve business operations.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.Proven experience as an IT manager or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and networking.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to think strategically and align technology with business objectives.
Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodologyAbility to manage a project from design to completion including roll out to end usersFluency in English, both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Salesforce environment (including but not limited to permissions, custom objects, flows, apex, lightening web components)Knowledge of Acumatica or a comparable ERP systemKnowledge of Sage100 Software/Crystal Reports/QuickBooks/ZenkraftKnowledge of Linux based serversKnowledge of NodeJS, AngularJS, HTML, NGINX, Python, JavaScript, jQuery, Kendo UI, ASP.NET and C#Knowledge of APIs and how they communication between systemsKnowledge of relational databasesManaging users, apps, and cloud infrastructure in AzureManaging on site data centersManaging Windows based office IT infrastructureManaging Fortinet based securityKnowledge of Precious Metals a plus
