Job Description:
As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is looking for a candidate to develop and maintain software for SDA radar systems. L3Harris is seeking professionals to work in a dynamic environment to solve challenging technical problems. This role supports the SDA, Space Command and Control (C2), and Missile Warning/Missile Defense (MW/MD) mission areas. Individuals will perform Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) system software development, design, implementation, test, and configuration management. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This is an onsite position in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a Secret Security Clearance.
Essential Functions:
Develop UEWR SW in accordance with SW coding standards and the Agile development processCurrent C++, Java, assembler, and FORTRAN programming language development experienceSoftware Test Procedure development to unit test codeExperience troubleshooting and debugging code to develop/implement solutions to fix problemsExperience properly documenting software within the code and then in required software documentation/deliverables such as software version description documents (VDDs)Experience working in an Agile Development environment (Scrum teams)Develop, integrate, test, and deploy new capability for the Logical Record Identifier (LRID), Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Comm Network (BCN) connectivity, and Machine to Machine (M2M) taskingUnderstanding of Agile development methodology and how requirements are assigned to points and sprints and ability to accomplish work withing the allocated timeframeWork is full-time in office (no remote)Primary work location is New Allegiance but some work at Peterson SFB Bldg 2025 Classified System Integration Lab (CSIL) will be requiredStrong written and verbal skillsMeticulous organization of open software tasksThorough understanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile developmentAbility to work in a team environment to potentially include duties in other technical disciplinesSecret Clearance is RequiredQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or similar field and 4- 6 years software experience or Master's degree and 2-4 years of experience. In lieu of degree, 8 years of software experienceExperience with C++, Java, assembler, and FORTRAN programming languagesActive Secret security clearanceExperience with ull software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deploymentPreferred Additional Skills:
Familiar with source code repositories such as GitLab, etc.Familiar with agile development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $93,500 - $173,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
