The primary duties for the Project Director consist of providing the planning, coordination, and direction of a program or multiple projects.This includes ensuring the program and individual projects are on budget and schedule, and the design fits the client's requirements (desired scope, available budget and within time). This position will support design and construction and will be responsible for client interface, scope, schedule, and budget tasks as senior leadership in the field. This position will report to the Area Manager.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead planning, design and construction efforts in accordance with the program policies and procedures
Employee development, including coaching, mentoring, supervisory and training techniquesSupervise project team and ensures quality services consistent with Vanir procedures, client goals, and contract responsibilities on areas of safety, performance, and project staffDevelop and maintain A/E/C industry networking relationships, to market and sell Vanir services and drive business development effortsDevelop an implementation plan and master schedule that reflects the priorities of the client.Financial reporting to the client and the bond oversight committeeDevelop and review contract documentsReport and collaborate with client's senior management team on all project mattersDevelop and implement a program quality management systemDocument and report all program/project data accurately and in a timely mannerManage program controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the clientTrack all program and project level status and provide management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing and other related contract requirementsCreate and present program and project data clearly to multiple internal and external stakeholder groupsIdentify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfullyDevelop recommended actions and assist in resolving disputes relative to design and constructionProvide management of program logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilizationPerform other related duties as assigned to ensure program and project successEnsure contractor, architect, and engineer will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture is requiredIdeal candidates will possess 15+ years of experience providing project / program / construction management services on K-12 and higher education projects and programs. Experience with other markets served by Vanir is beneficial.Experience in managing the full cycle of a project: pre-construction / planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout/warrantyAdvanced knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are requiredThorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting, cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings are requiredMust be able to communicate clearly and concisely, in writing (written correspondence and in email), and orallyCertified Construction Manager (CCM) certification is desired; registration as a registered architect or professional engineer is acceptable.How to Apply
