POSITION SUMMARY
Provides comprehensive support for quality resident care. This includes assisting in determining what quality measures to study, ensuring the staff has the needed training and tools to improve quality of care, and facilitating discussions, feedback and follow up to ensure sustained improvements. Ensures systematic review and analysis of the clinical practices, identifying potential and actual adverse events, as well as assisting with follow up resident and employee incidents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior
Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organization's mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with co-workers. Provides assistance to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results.
Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times.
Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room
Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures
Identifies, manages, and treats specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions
Works alongside employees to promote a team effort and maintain the highest quality of resident care.
Makes rounds daily to observe and identify any potential risks to residents.
Conducts monthly quality assurance audits on topics of identified needs, such as answering call lights, reviewing compliance, infection control, and gait belt use.
Conducts chart audits as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Previous nursing or healthcare experience preferred
6 months - 1 year of experience
Knowledge and experience with quality indicators, quality metrix, and QAPI process
High school diploma or equivalent required

Must have an active license in vocational nursing
