ORC is seeking a full-time, exempt

Right of Way Agent

to work on projects in North Carolina and South Carolina. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Charlotte, NC office, and can expect to report to the office once a week. Agent should expect to hit the road traveling about 25% of the time locally and/or throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.ORC offers an amazing work environment surrounded by a vibrant team that is not only there to challenge and support you, but also will inspire you every day! At ORC, diversity matters, voices are heard, and leadership shows they care.What you will be doing:As a Right of Way Agent, you will provide land acquisition and relocation services, per project guidelines and regulations throughout the right-of-way project lifecycle in support of the Project Manager (PM), or members of the project team. This includes preparing complex real estate documents, performing basic property research for ownership and boundary information, and communicating with property owners and their representatives for the acquisition of right of way. You will be responsible for performing general administrative work including but not limited to preparing legal documents, reports and correspondence, attending meetings, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents for file management, verbal and written communications with customers, customer service and related functions.We are looking for someone who:Manages deadlines and prioritizes effectively.Has a responsible and organized approach to work.Is approachable and comfortable interacting with people from all walks of life.Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.Is a problem solver with attention to detail and strong negotiation skills.Works independently and as part of a team.

Here are the minimum requirements:Minimum of five (5) years of Right of Way acquisition experienceActive North Carolina Real Estate LicenseLicense must be hung with ORC*

Active South Carolina and/or North Carolina NotaryMust be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook, and DropboxMust have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systemsValid Driver's License

While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes.
