Position Summary:The Manager of Relationship Events is responsible for the implementation of the Coastal (Savannah) Dancing Stars and the Augusta Gala event(s) to meet or exceed the budgeted goal through volunteer recruitment and engagement as well as through corporate development. This position will be responsible for the two Gala events as well as assisting with the growth and management of other corporate development initiatives per the discretion of the Sr. Director of Relationship Events. Measurable outcomes for this position include driving volunteer and corporate engagement and revenue growth as identified in the strategic plan. This is a full-time position that reports to the Chapter's Sr. Director of Relationship Events.ResponsibilitiesEssential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Responsible for all aspects of the specified markets' Galas and wrap around eventsResponsible for high level volunteer recruitment, training, coaching, and management resulting in the attainment of revenue and volunteer engagement goalsBuild relationships with key volunteers, participants, sponsors, and community leaders as well as existing and new corporate partnersResponsible for managing all financial aspects of the sponsor and donor fulfillmentProspect, cultivate and steward Gala sponsors and donors to achieve development goals through volunteer networksMaintain year-round relationships with key corporate sponsors, donors and volunteers to ensure involvement in all relevant chapter activities and recognition opportunitiesWork with the volunteer Chair and planning committee to organize outreach activities that promote the Alzheimer's Association mission, including community presentations and corporate engagement opportunitiesEnsure Alzheimer Association's standards are being followedResponsible for other duties as assignedActively participate in learning opportunities for professional growth and self- improvement

QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience1-2 years of proven experience in corporate fundraising and relationship building, recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goalsDemonstrated ability to form and develop relationships and partnerships2-3 years of experience in galas/special events required with proven success in, special event fundraising or related activities; strong volunteer management experience essential1-2 years' experience in mobile bidding software: ie: Give Smart, One Cause

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesGoal and detailed oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skillsDemonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skillsAdaptive and flexible with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demandsAbility to take initiative, and to work independently as well as in a teamExcellent interpersonal skills including verbal and writtenAbility and willingness to travel within the assigned territory by car. Travel in this case, is considered time spent away from the office, in the community, to fulfill the job goalsWhile most such travel is same day, occasional overnight travel or air travel may be required. Must have valid driver's license, access to reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insuranceAbility and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for the jobAbility to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs. of materialsStrong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google Suite and social media; experience with, or ability to rapidly learn, Luminate/Convio software
