Our client, in Bloomfield, CT is seeking an ambitious, motivated, Plant Operations Manager with exceptional people management skills to join their team. The ideal candidate will have progressive operations experience in the packaged food industry.
What’s the Job?
Responsible for establishing and coordinating projects and production sequences; meeting production goals.
Supervising and evaluating direct reports and administering personnel policies and procedures.
Manage quality standards and performance metrics.
Manage cost structures for manufacturing, including keeping operational expenses within budget.
Enforce changes to plant safety.
Meet with shift supervisors; stay informed of important issues and hold production meetings.
What’s Needed?
Associate or Bachelor Degree - preferably in Business Management or similar.
8+ years of Progressive experience in food plant environment.
5+ years of proven track record in People Management.
Continuous improvement and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office andSAP.
Excellent communication skills.
