The Academy of Advanced Manufacturing is an innovative technical training program to rapidly upskill U.S. military veterans for in-demand technician roles in manufacturing. We are looking for a Technical Instructor for the Academy of Advanced Manufacturing, that will be partner with partners to deliver technical training and feedback to participants to enable future work as automation technicians. You will collaborate with important program partners. You will be focused on supporting the AAM veteran's program, and supporting expansion of AAM program offerings. You will work in a hybrid environment and report to the Supervisor, Global Program Delivery. Role Responsibilities: Educational: The Academy of Advanced Manufacturing (AAM) Instructor manages a learning environment to ensure positive trainee outcomes. The Instructor will facilitate lectures and support labs in alignment with pre-defined learning objectives and conduct remediation to support leaner success. Team Engagement: The instructor is responsible to work closely with other AAM Staff (Core Team) and Shared Labor resources to deliver technical training while maintaining a professional environment with clear performance expectations. The instructor will participate in trainee feedback sessions and coach trainees in real time on performance and conduct issues. If necessary, the instructor will escalate performance and conduct issues to the program Supervisors. Program Development: As training curriculum subject matter expert (SME), the instructor will work on projects and activities to develop, refine, correct, and expand AAM curriculum for successful delivery of the program and expand delivery markets for Rockwell Automation. Your Responsibilities: Deliver classroom and lab-based training curriculum (lead content delivery). Support curriculum during non-lead content delivery (support fellow instructors). Refine, update, and expand curriculum. Support trainee performance management. Deliver feedback to trainees. Deliver messaging and support corrective action efforts. Collaborate with Rockwell Automation University (RAU) content development teams in alignment with best practices. Create documentation of standard processes, curriculum, and activities. Travel to support program delivery and conferences (expected travel - up to 15%). The Essentials - You Will Have: Bachelor's degree. Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, no or in the future, for this job opening. The Preferred - You May Also Have: 5+ years of experience with writing and troubleshooting code (.json, SQL, Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart). Experience designing curriculum materials and instructor resources. Experience leading Train-the-Trainer activities. 5+ years of work experience and experience in technical training delivery or field service roles. Capability to communicate (written and oral) with peers, management, and trainees. Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment. Enthusiastic about opportunities to establish and implement new approaches and processes to drive continuous improvement. Effectively collaborate and influence a multi-disciplinary team of people on behalf of trainee experience. Experience working with electrical drawings/wiring. Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field / discipline or in lieu of a degree equivalent working experience in Technology, Training, or other related filed.
