Business Process Analyst

Join a Top Children’s Hospital in a dynamic role focused on enhancing efficiency, quality, and patient outcomes primarily in the ambulatory care operations. As a Business Process Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and implement strategies that streamline workflows, reduce waste, and elevate the patient experience. You will use data-driven methodologies and Lean principles to assess current processes, develop improvement plans, and be the project manager to achieve the desired goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments of ambulatory operations to identify opportunities for process optimization.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to design and implement process improvements.
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to develop solutions that improve efficiency and patient care.
Track performance metrics, analyze data, and report on project outcomes.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops to drive continuous improvement across ambulatory operations
Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Care, Management or related field with two years of data analysis and/or systems configuration experience required OR a Master's degree in related field with one year of data analysis and/or systems configuration experience required
Strong knowledge of Cognos, Crystal Reports, Excel, and other statistical software packages preferred
Experience with recruitment and/or business process systems (IBM Business Process Manager, applicant tracking systems, candidate relationship management tools) preferred
Basic understanding of programming languages (HTML, CSS, Java script, SQL) required
Advanced mathematical skills required Ability to re-engineer processes to positively impact productivity in terms of timeliness and accuracy required
Ability to analyze financial and clinical results and to comprehend forecasting models required
Well-informed and conversant with general business, economic, and clinical matters required Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
PMI's PMP Certification or Business Architect Certification required or completion of UPMC Health Plan PM Certification within one year from date of hire.
UPMC Health Plan Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification required or a comparable program meeting the ASQ Green Belt certification standards within one year from date of hire.
