Our client, a B2B Industrial Packaging company, is seeking a Lead Packaging Designer to join their team. As a Lead Packaging Designer, you will be part of the Packaging Optimization department supporting the NextPress plant in Mahwah, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Packaging/Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field, and proven experience in product development and design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Job Title: Lead Packaging Designer
Location: Mahwah, NJ
Pay Range: $70k-$80k
What's the Job?
Create 3D models and renderings, packaging samples and mock-ups for visual representation of designs
Utilize ArtiosCAD software, to create detailed design drawings and models
Collaborate with product development teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet technical specifications
Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs
Maintain and operate high-tech digital printer and CAD table for prototyping
Build database of projects and handle all documentation for quality compliance
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant findings into design projects
Mentor junior designer, providing guidance and feedback on their work to foster professional growth
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging/Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
Proven experience in product development and design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work
Proficiency in ArtiosCAD 2D/3D software and graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite) (Illustrator and Photoshop, etc), as well as CAPE
Strong creative vision with an eye for detail and aesthetics
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong ability to adapt to changing priorities.
