DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Translates in-game text, voice scripts, manuals, and supplementary development and testing-related documents and materials as required to support products and services through launch and beyondIdentifies game content that may require revision to better suit the tastes of consumers (Latin American)Provides feedback on game difficulty and appeal in Latin American marketDemonstrates Nintendo products to other team members, internal departments, and outside promotional and media partners as requiredMaintains awareness of game industry in assigned market (Latin America) and communicates market trends to product acquisition and development staffPerforms translation and interpretation for other departments and subsidiaries as requiredWorks with internal and external translation resources to coordinate translation projectsReviews translations for accuracy and consistencyReviews products for ESRB compliance
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
One to three years of related experienceAcute attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsExcellent game play skills and the ability to identify design and content issuesComprehensive historical and current knowledge of the video game industry for both the home and arcade markets helpfulExcellent Portuguese and English translation skills, including two to four years specific translation experiencePortuguese and English interpretation skills, including experience interpreting business meetings and/or conference callsFamiliarity with Latin American history, culture and customsFamiliarity with localization/translation toolsExperience operating Microsoft Windows and Office software in PortugueseNative level fluency in PortugueseUndergraduate degree in Portuguese, English, Creative Writing, or a related field, or equivalentExperience in translating and editing in target language preferred

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This contract position has a base pay range of $26.25 - $44.10 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits may include medical, dental and vision, 401(k), basic/supplemental life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, transportation benefits, employee assistance program, paid sick leave, and up to 6 paid holidays per year. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency, and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.
