Job Description Summary
Assists with ensuring Credit Union compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and OFAC. Performs a variety of specialized clerical, administrative or operational support duties for the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance department. Reviews transactions for suspicious activity and assists employees across the Credit Union with the completion of relevant BSA related documentation.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilizes Credit Union systems to assist with monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and document or escalate as necessary; assists BSA Specialist with the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as necessary.Updates and reviews appropriate revisions to disclosure forms, policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with changing rules and regulations.Assists employees with questions regarding completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and other BSA compliance situations.Verifies case file documentation is complete and accurate for BSA retention; maintains watch list of members for continued suspicious activity review.Documents and processes departmental work; follows policies and procedures, verifies for accuracy and completeness, performs research, scans and files documents and other materials; prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports.Operates computers, scanners, copiers, optical imaging, mail and other related standard office and processing equipment.Maintains records of work performed; assists in maintaining an inventory of supplies for the department.Stays abreast of all industry codes and standards, as well as all applicable State, Federal and NCUA laws and regulations regarding Credit Union operations. Maintains required knowledge Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and OFAC regulations through training and self-study.

Education Requirements
Credit Union industry Bank Secrecy Act certification - Preferred
Experience Requirement
2 Years - Financial industry experience including BSA regulations - Required
Experience processing new account and loan applications - Preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Effectively apply internal/external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.Resolve problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tac and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.Operate computers, use business software, and other standard office equipment.Understand and follow written and oral instructions.Set priorities and manage ones own time effectively.
