We are seeking qualified candidates for our *Engineering Administrative Assistant * opportunity to join our Williamston, Michigan team! This position provides administrative support to the engineering department by assisting engineers, taking phone calls, handling correspondence, creating presentations, performing research, writing procedure manuals, coordinating special projects and maintaining files and records.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works on assignments that directly relate to management policies and the general business operations of the company.

Analyzes and executes complex information requests with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.

Prepares confidential correspondence including memos, reports, and meeting minutes.

Prepares and/or maintains files for routine correspondence and other records including engineering drawings and manufacturers' technical drawing files.

Maintains engineering project scheduling database, engineering and machine drives, folders, and electronic documents, and department records and supplies.

Answers incoming calls, routes calls and gives information to callers for the engineering department and as part of the phone group for companywide telephone answering system.

Handles confidential and routine incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and e-mail transmissions.

Greets and escorts visitors, assists with scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.

Assist with and coordinate special projects and technical presentations as necessary.

Receives initial engineering change requests and routes to appropriate engineering staff for completion. Coordinates and distributes final documentation for completed change orders.

Prepares customer machine manuals and service binders, including converting drawings into document form, proofreading, editing and revising manual layout. Coordinates the printing of machine manuals with outside vendors.

Prepares machine manual updates for After Sales following machine updates and/or retrofits.

Assists with the operation and maintenance of blueprint machine.

Trains and assists other clerical and administrative staff as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (AA) or Certification from College or Technical school; or three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
