Senior Staff Accountant
to their accounting team on a contract to hire basis to work from their Annapolis office!This Senior Staff Accountant role will begin on a contractual basis for the selected candidate. Opportunity for permanent hire depending on performance and fit!

This position is in office
100% in Annapolis, MD . Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. No remote flexibility.Reports to the CFOJob Duties for the Senior Staff Accountant:Prepare for company compliance auditClose quarterly books and prepare journal entriesCompile financial reports and reconciling financial statementsComplete balance sheetManage banking and investing accounting functionsManage grant budgetReconcile grant funding accounts and schedulesReconcile bi-weekly payroll and monthly bank statementsMaintain accurate documentation and records for back-up and other special projectsQualifications for the Senior Staff Accountant:3-5+ years' accounting experience requiredBachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related requiredProficiency with Excel and Word requiredMust have a good understanding of how to do a balance sheetExperience using Sage a plus!Strong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
