Description This is a remote position that will be required to work standard business hours - Pacific time. The Manager of CDI, will work in conjunction with the Director and Executive Director of CDI to drive operational effectiveness of the CDI program, and leadership support of designated HIM caregivers. This position facilitates improvement in overall quality, completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation. This position will work to support CDI workflow standardization and process improvement efforts. This position will continually provide direction and monitor data analytics, offer insights on strategic opportunities, and developing project timelines to meet key deliverables. Primary duties include the development, improvement, maintenance, and implementation efforts to support the CDI and physician workflows and partnerships. The Manager of CDI will lead and operate one or more CDI teams under the direction of the director or executive director. The Manager will coordinate activities of staff in evaluating medical record documentation to improve the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation and data collection. The Manager will provide leadership, consultation and education related to the CDI program on matters of medium to high complexity. Span of control is less than 20 FTEs. Required Qualifications: 7 years of experience in a healthcare setting. 4 years of leadership experience. 3 years of ICD-10 experience and/or understanding. 3 years of experience understanding of MS-DRG and APR-DRG assignment and fundamentals of establishing a DRG. 3 years of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations. 3 years of experience with EPIC, MEDITECH, Iodine, JATA Guide, 3M 360 or similar applications. Track record in taking initiative, working with minimal supervision and being self-directed and highly motivated in all work activities. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or other related field. Upon hire: Registered Nurse License, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS), or license applicable to functional role Why Join Providence?
