The Foodservice Designer plays a key role in the construction services industry, responsible for providing technical design expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves creating detailed drawings, collaborating with architects and engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Senior Technical Designer contributes to the successful execution of construction projects by translating design concepts into practical solutions and supporting the project team in achieving project objectives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Technical Design Development:Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications based on project requirements and design concepts.Utilize CAD software to create accurate and comprehensive construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
Collaboration and Coordination:Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical designs with project goals and objectives.Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure smooth project execution.
Code Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure technical designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.Conduct quality assurance reviews of technical drawings to identify and address any discrepancies or errors.
Construction Documentation:Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and material schedules.Assist in the preparation of bid packages and construction contracts.
Project Support:Provide technical support to project teams throughout the construction process, responding to RFIs and assisting in resolving on-site construction issues.Assist in conducting site visits and surveys to gather information for design development and coordination.
COMPETENCIES:Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create detailed technical drawings.Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction principles, materials, and methods.Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in technical designs and documentation.Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey technical information clearly and concisely.Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical solutions to address design challenges.Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.2 - 3 years of experience in technical design in the construction services industry.Proficiency in RevitKnowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.Strong understanding of construction principles, materials, and methods.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.
In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
