Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Application Administrator to provide technical support for the 480th ISRW Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) at Langley AFB. This is a full-time position.Responsibilities
Test, implement, administer, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain operation of the 480th ISRW ISR virtualization software, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems on all networks.
Test, implement, administer, troubleshoot, upgrade and maintain operation of web-based applications utilizing MS Internet Information Services (IIS) on all networks at both local and remote locations.Track, assign, troubleshoot, and/or close trouble tickets and new requirements.Administer, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain operations of Information Store (iSToRE) servers on two different networks.Provide support to 480 ISRW integration activities to identify procedural changes and processes that would enhance the overall environment.Coordinate with Program Management Offices (PMOs) for ongoing updates and maintenance of the ISR websites.Draft, edit, maintain and provide input to local SOPs.Create, develop, upgrade, and maintain SharePoint sites utilizing various SharePoint capabilities such as designer, workflow, query, lists, and other functionality as required.Maintain applications and Virtual Machines (VMs) in a Cloud Computing Services (C2S) Dev/Ops, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or like cloud environment.Provide test and evaluation support for new technology.Prepare reports detailing the results of the test and evaluation including specific recommendations.Troubleshoot or work with and assist other entities in troubleshooting assets that support DCGS Enterprise Management.Provide system software and hardware architecture acclimation to selected government/military personnel.Work daily assigned trouble tickets and troubleshoot systems/services.Work with ISSO and ISSM on security posture of systems.Install security patches and reboot all servers.
Qualifications
5 years experience in systems administration. Bachelor's degree in a related field desired. Must be certified at IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, or other certification satisfying DoD 8140 certification requirements). Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining servers with thorough knowledge of Microsoft technologies. Experience with administration of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and later; VMWare 5.x/6.x or more current; MS SQL Server 2012/2014 or more current; SharePoint 2012/2014 or more recent; and MS IIS 7.x/8.x or more current. Able to assess server infrastructure and configuration and identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions. Experience with security as it pertains to server infrastructure, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Experience with DoD IT environment and networks. Must have good communication skills and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
