Job Description
Omni Royal Orleansis seeking an enthusiastic and compassionateHuman Resources Managerto join the team.
This role will be the welcoming face of our Associate Services (Human Resources) Department. Working closely with the Director of Associate Services, we expect our chosen individual to be instrumental in creating a warm and welcoming culture that promotes associate engagement and maximizes the success of the hotel staff.
This role is perfect for an early-career candidate that has an interest in both hospitality and human resources.
Responsibilities
+ + Provides a warm greeting to everyone who visits or contacts the Associate Services Center (Human Resources Office).
Provides clerical support to the Human Resources Director and other members of hotel leadership as needed.
Assists associates with common requests, such as printing pay stubs, employment verifications, applying for internal job postings, and updating contact information.
Assists with processing of all new hire paperwork, ensuring that new hires have a great experience.
Attends job fairs with other hotel leadership to promote job opportunities and build community relations.
Builds relationships with community partners to plan and develop community service events.
Maintains an organized office environment, which will allow for successful internal audit completion.
Facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, provide candidate updates to hotel leadership and collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Ensure s proper backgrounds and pre-employment processes are followed
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Ensure s all New Associate Files have all appropriate paperwork, signed acknowledgments, applicable licenses/certificates
Maintain s department logs, binders, and employee files
Enter s and maintain s all associate data in UltiPro (HRIS)
Champions Omni culture on property, and enthusiastically promotes opportunities within the hotel and company
Participates in planning and execution of associate events planned by the Human Resources Department.
Develops associate communications network within the hotel, via bulletin boards, department communication boards, posters and flyers.
Acts as a liaison to management for all associates.
Completes other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Associate Services.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degress required
Human Resources background preferred.
Prior hotel F&B or Rooms operational background preferred.
Strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office.
A warm and friendly demeanor, with compassion toward others.
Strong organizational skills.
