is looking for a Project Superintendent to lead conveyer and sort system projects in the Memphis, TN area. As part of the construction project team, you will work within an Owner's Representation team to oversee the design and installation of a parcel and/or freight sortation system components for an integrated system delivery. Your key responsibility will be to ensure a high quality electrical and mechanical installation in correlation with the design documents, project specifications, and functional and technical requirements.
What You Will Do:
As Project Superintendent
, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Perform quality checks on contractor's installation.
Log and report any deficient work.
Provide constructability comments and value engineering for the sort process, including electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings during design phases.
Review contractor pricing and work scopes for bids and changes.
Review and process RFIs and submittals.
Validate and review test forms during check out, start up, and commissioning phase.
Coordinate daily work activities with site operations and contractors.
Provide proper feedback about progress and budget status.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related job field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience within conveyor and conveyor systems, preferably in parcel locations such as airports, warehouse, or distribution center environments.
Must have background in electrical (power distribution or controls) and/or mechanical field installations in the sort/process industry.
Experience in basic functions of construction management delivery methods and coordinating construction activities within a live operating facility.
Or equivalent combination of the above education and years of experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Have a deep understanding of electrical operations/equipment.
Experience with AC/DC, Single, and 3-phase Motors.
Working knowledge of Electro Mechanical Controls Wiring and Systems/Panel Modifications.
Load/unload extender installation and functionality.
High Speed Package Scales, Parcel Singulator, and Shoe Sorter Installation.
Scanning, Volume Management, Weighing, and Dimension Equipment Integration.
Functional Testing and Commissioning.
Working knowledge of Electro Mechanical Controls Wiring and Systems/Panel Modifications.
Quality Control and Safety Awareness.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organization and knowledge of Project Planning and Project Management Software.
