We are an industry leader, manufacturing the cleanest steel in the world for companies in the industrial, aerospace and defense, automotive, and energy markets.This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.Relocation is not offered for this position.PurposeThis is a key position that provides Human Resource Business Partner support and organizational development activities for one or more business/functional groups.ResponsibilitiesServe as an integral member and partner of the business/functional leadership team. Consult with the leadership team in the development and execution of HR strategy for the group(s).Provide transactional and strategic HR generalist support for the group(s):
Provide direction and counsel on compensation, job descriptions, job titles, internal employee movement, and other HR policies and procedures. Partner with colleagues in Mexico to deliver HR support to a small group of employees.Work with talent acquisition to develop recruiting and retention strategies for key roles and execute staffing activities when necessary. Perform Workforce Planning for assigned group(s).Drive performance management and talent management processes across assigned group(s). Develop, maintain, and report on Talent Management KPIs.Maintain positive employee relations within assigned business group(s). This could involve conducting investigations related to Help Line or other complaints or issues raised by employees.Assess the need for and deliver organization effectiveness initiatives.Provide transactional HR leadership by completing pay, position, promotional, roster creation, org charts, and other transactions in SAP SuccessFactors.
Direct the design and execution of organization development activities for your group(s). Lead the execution of talent management processes, including talent assessment and ranking, development planning, succession planning, leadership pipeline, mentoring, organization design, culture change management initiatives, and team building. Align the team on strategy and business processes.Assist in the development of communications necessary to drive organizational alignment and effectiveness and to facilitate human resource policies and processes.Provide guidance and direction in managing performance and discipline. Communicate HR policies and procedures to leaders/managers and counsel managers on addressing employee relations issues.Support the completion of strategic enterprise-wide HR projects, such as succession and workforce planning.Ensure group(s) achieves all HR related deadlines.Key SkillsAbility to operate with a high degree of confidentiality & professionalismStrong communication skills - verbal & writtenStrong customer service orientationHighly organized and process-orientedStrong PC skills (MS Office & use of HRIS applications)Solid analytical skillsMinimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in human resources, business or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in human resources, business or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience; OR bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR master's degree in human resources, business or related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
