Job Title: Junior Systems Administrator Level 2/3

Position Description: The Junior Systems Administrator Level 2/3 will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of LSHV’s cloud environment, servers, desktops, telecommunications systems, networking and end-user support.

Job Description

Essential Duties:

Provide in-person and remote support for on-site and remote employees via telephone, email, and remote access.

Set up and configure laptop and desktop computers (OS installation, software installs, patches, etc.).

Perform systems administration functions for Windows AD infrastructure, Azure, Intune, Office 365, software updates, and anti-virus.

Maintain and update LSHV’s SharePoint site as it relates to backend staff lists, including entering new employees for the Expense Voucher, permission structure, and other HR flows.

Collaborate with the IT Director and the Development Department on the LSHV website, assisting with back-end applications, maintenance, and licensing. Ensure compliance by website vendors and provide support as needed.

Create and maintain user accounts in Active Directory (AD).

Provide end-user support, resolving technical issues, and offering technical assistance for all operating systems and applications.

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of hardware systems, including access points, firewalls, and other networking devices, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Provide new employees with the required hardware and appropriate access to the company’s computer systems.

Conduct administrative tracking and electronically document agency assets.

Assist in training staff across various formats—individual, small group, and large group—by creating written materials and delivering engaging verbal presentations to enhance their understanding of system operations and best practices.

Provide IT services on-site at LSHV’s locations as needed.

Other duties as necessary.

Networking Experience:

Demonstrated experience with networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) to troubleshoot connectivity issues and maintain network infrastructure.

Knowledge of network configuration, firewall management, and VPN setup for secure remote access.

Familiarity with network monitoring tools and practices to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

Qualifications/Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Science, or a related field.

Three years in an IT helpdesk/systems administration role.

Minimum Level 2-3 Skill Set: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and performing networking tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.

Must be willing to travel to various LSHV locations as needed to provide on-site support and services

Must have driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel and transporting IT equipment to various LSHV locations as needed to provide on-site support and services.

Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, Office 365, Azure, and Intune

Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs.) such as servers, backup batteries, computers, and monitors.

Salary: $70,000 - 80,000, DOE, with excellent benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and long-term disability coverages, as well as a defined contribution to 403b, loan repayment assistance and paid parental leave. This position is a fully in office position.
