US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED#LI-SH2This role will provide technical leadership spanning system architectures and new technology development in the Space Security domain supporting multiple current and future pursuits. Specific areas of focus encompass small satellite (i.e. ESPA-Grande or smaller) technologies including electronics, software (real-time and embedded), proof of concept prototyping, and space systems engineering. The successful candidate will evaluate and apply commercial, academic, and other in-house and external technologies and approaches to support rapid development of system concepts and measures of effectiveness for space security applications. Formal and informal written reports and briefings are necessary to capture plans, schedules, and results, and communicating strategy to a broad audience of internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:Rapid technical development, understanding, analysis and assessment of concepts and designs for the Space Security domain, systems, and payloads; including performance predictions and risk assessments.Guide and/or set architecture, system and/or component requirements.Lead technical teams by identifying necessary tasks, allocating to appropriate specific engineering disciplines, and provide continuing guidance and re-vectoring to ensure objectives are met on-time.Identify and contribute to new IRAD/ technology development concepts and roadmaps.Prepare and give presentations to peers/management/customers.Provide mentorship to junior analysts in mission analysis and/or modeling and simulation techniques.New business support in the form of proposal writing and/or cost/schedule estimation.Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.Perform other duties as necessary.On-Site Work Environment:

This position requires regular in-person engagement by working

on-site five days

each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.May access other facilities in various weather conditions.#IJS

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience.Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.Broad experience in mission/systems analysis of space mission, vehicle, and payload architectures.Knowledge of small satellite systems (ESPA-Grande and smaller), missions, technologies, and practical limitations.Knowledge of embedded data processing architectures, knowledge of embedded processors, embedded SW, FPGAs, and GPUs.Experience in programming languages such as MATLAB or Python .Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in relevant business environments.Superb presentation skills with experience presenting technical results to senior customers and technical review meetings.Ability to interface with technicians, peers, senior-level engineers, business development, management.Ability to contribute to the success of small teams through excellent leadership and teamwork.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Extensive knowledge of missions and customers across space security domain. Knowledge/experience working with critical customer base and experienced at establishing relationships with key personnel within customer community.Knowledge of image formation, and multiple payload phenomenologies (EO/IR, Radar, Passive RF).Experience in architectural modeling tools such as STK, ODTK, and AFSIM.Knowledge of state estimation and orbital mechanics.Experience in micro-services based software and agile software development processes.

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610.000 - $215270.000

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
