We partner with internal and external teams across the company to create, scale, and deliver outstanding marketing that brings the magic of Apple products to every touchpoint of the customer experience.

Description

In the Interactive Art Director role, you would be responsible for leading projects across a variety of platforms.The role focuses on scaling concepts throughout interactive deliverables, working with producers and other teammates collaboratively, guiding designers by providing feedback on the work, preparing presentations, socializing the work internally, driving production design output and specs, and working with engineering toward implementation. Responsibilities include: Updating and maintaining Apple.com pages, and iOS / HTML global platforms in Apple Retail Stores and Channel partner stores, to align to project goals, creative direction, templates, and / or establishing new frameworks. Troubleshooting new ideas or executions as needed, enhancing existing experiences and optimizing content for new product initiatives, working within process to define technical specifications. Leading designers in day-to-day design tasks, working with producers to meet deadlines, and partnering with writers, designers, and developers. Leading presentations of the work internally to explain progress and ideas. Agency oversight of design output, suggesting process and template improvements. Replicating existing processes for file handoff to engineering teams, documentation, and design specs.

Minimum Qualifications

7+ years of industry experience in interactive/digital marketing communications industry.

A portfolio that showcases visual design for web, mobile, and/or app design.

Highly proficient in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, hierarchy, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity.

Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and to deliver quality design at a high volume in a tight timeframe. Diligent, flexible, resourceful, independent with a strong work ethic. Ability to help define process and solutions through the work.

Excellent communication and presentation skills across internal teams with the ability to speak to both creative and technical audiences, both in verbal and in written form.

Web production output and experience working with engineering through to release.

Experience working on projects that involved large teams and overlapping roles and responsibilities (design, engineering, UX, production, systems, and/or strategy).

Reliable judgment to see when work may be “off track” and initiative to collaborate with others to find solutions.

Ability to collaborate well with both internal and external partners and teammates. Thought leadership through creative debate and peer or management discussions.

Sketch and Photoshop expertise (Figma a plus) showing various digital layouts, typography use, viewports, and/or process and role played in project output.

Experience with front-end web and mobile development, including HTML, CSS, and/or iOS. Principle and After Effects a plus.
