The Tactical Strike (TS) Portfolio within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) has an exciting opportunity for a business manager role supporting a diverse $500M portfolio. This is a new role in the TS Finance organization, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join and lead the day-to-day execution Production & Growth programs & captures. This includes responsibilities of influence for nearly all Finance-related aspects of the Stormbreaker program franchise, which is in the full-rate production stage of the product life-cycle. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain adaptable and decisive to quickly adjust for unexpected production-related obstacles. This role is supporting the TS Finance Lead directly and will have interaction on a regular basis with the Tactical Strike leadership team and senior functional managers. Possessing the ability to partner with those managers will be imperative to ensure programs are running efficiently, while collaboratively problem-solving and proactively managing risk.

This role requires an individual experienced in partnering with program and functional management to meet all financial plan commitments. The successful candidate will be a strategic business partner, requiring clear communication, cross-functional relationships, and collaboration with the various execution teams, as well as forming partnerships with their external customer. The selected individual will be responsible for all aspects of financial control, including review of financial forecasts, risks & opportunities, manpower reporting, development of the annual operating plan and long-range plan, earned value reporting, EACs, funding analysis, proposals/ECP’s, negotiations and gate support. Also, the position requires managing a program finance team by hiring, developing, coaching/mentoring, and rotating employees.

What You Will Do

Provide vision; lead and supervise a team of Financial Analysts

Working closely with the customer community to partner for change

Effective management of day-to day financial operations while maintaining a driven to meet/exceed financial goals and commitments

Finance staffing, coaching and building team strength

Estimate at Complete (EAC), including program risk & opportunity management – Support the development, review and approval various program EACs with all contract types and effectively work cross-functionally to mitigate EAC risks & capture EAC opportunities.

Work to optimize production operation plans with financial execution striving for predictability while maintaining focus on maximization of business performance

New Business capture – maintain leadership role in proposal development and Gate reviews/approvals

Financial Forecasting/FP&A – AOP & Long-Range Plan (LRP) Development

Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) variance analysis, data reviewing and reporting

Effectively partner with external customer to develop relationships and focus on customer satisfaction in terms of finance-based deliverables and data

Participation and lead of program & functional business reviews to ensure business efficiency and risk mitigation.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic

Typically requires 10+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years prior relevant experience

Experience with MS tool suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) including advanced formulas and pivot tables understanding in MS Excel

U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems

Qualifications We Prefer

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Prior leadership experience

Experience with Agile implementation and methodology

Demonstrated understanding of the 32 EIA-748 EVMS Guidelines, Raytheon EVMS Process Description Manual 10255, and the EVM Procedures / EVM Policy Instructions or other established EVM policies/procedures/techniques

Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

Ability to work well under pressure with both internal and external customers

Ability to influence without authority

Use of EVMS tools (such as APEX-EV, forProject, Cobra, etc.)

Familiar with IMS development and maintenance tools and techniques

Current Raytheon EVM Certification or Industry equivalent

Ability to effectively interact and influence across enterprise-wide network/resources for information

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
