The RoleIn this position, the Senior Power Systems Engineer will initially focus on Switch Order Management applications to deliver intricate designs to transmission and distribution (T&D) utilities, balancing authorities and reliability control entities. You will offer technical acumen and leadership to support existing product and shape future development opportunities for power grids. Based in DGM's Medina office, the ideal candidate will play a key role in driving project success and ongoing support to ensure reliable performance and exceptional customer satisfaction. Your Impact Design, integrate, configure, test, and commission advanced control systems for electric utilities. Communicate detailed requirements to internal departments as needed. Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements. Work directly with customers and engineering team members to understand requirements and communicate project plans. Lead customer workshops, training sessions and provide consulting on power system modeling to ensure effective use and maintenance power system applications. Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed. Perform unit testing and tuning to ensure power system applications meet customer reliability and industry requirements. Train, develop, and lead daily operations and activities of the Power Systems engineering team. Support live customer systems using knowledge of utility SCADA operations and functionality with clear, logical thought processes. Stay up to date with relevant regulations and industry standards and trends. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical field. Master's degree with an emphasis in Power Systems highly desired. Minimum 5 years of power systems, project engineering, or related technical project implementation experience required. Ability and flexibility to travel up to 25% to domestic and international customer sites. Strong technical background with the ability to apply knowledge spanning transmission and distribution (T&D) switch order management applications required. Practical understanding of energy management systems, including operation, control, and application programming interfaces (API). Excellent oral and written communication skills; organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; commitment to providing superior customer service; and ability to multi-task on several projects in a fast-paced environment are required.
