Applied Signal Technology: WHO WE ARE (https://www.collinsaerospace.com/what-we-do/industries/military-and-defense/communications/applied-signal-technology)
What You Will Do:
Apply your system engineering experience and technical domain expertise in 5G Core Networks to advance our next generation mobile telecommunication processing and network reconnaissance systems.
Collaborate with technical leaders to further product visions and roadmaps and develop innovative solutions and new technology development through fielded capability support.
Perform technical research, develop technical documentation, presentations, and lead concept demonstrations and/or contribute to bid and proposal activities related to system development.
Travel up to 15% travel time to other AST sites and customer sites to support customers meetings and/or demonstrations, system deployments (installation, integration/validation/verification).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
Experience with 3GPP standards, protocols, and network interfaces for core networks. Specifically, with the user plane function (UPF) and access and mobility management function (AMF), and messaging services.
Experience developing system-level designs, high-level control and data interfaces.
Familiarity with both the Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) 5G deployment architectures.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance or current SSBI.
Experience with broadband communications including network operations, transport structures and switching equipment
Experience formalizing, developing, and writing requirements, system concept of operations, plans, and procedures based on customer discussions, briefings, interactions, and statements of work.
Experience with converged data management services (4G EPC HSS, 5GC UDM/AUSF).
Experience with 5G Transport Network architectures and products including 5G service categories (eMBB, ULLRC, mMTC).
Familiarity with network virtualization and/or containerization technologies (KVM, VMware, OpenStack, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
Experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google.

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
