The Leidos Sensing and Threat Response Team has an immediate opening for a Solution Architect (SA) to support new business pursuits and on-contract growth. In this role, you will help our customers address their demanding challenges. You will work with business development, research and development, and subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions in the technical areas of aircraft and space sensing and threat response. Additionally, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.
Primary Responsibilities
Identifying customer challenges that can be addressed by Leidos unique capabilities and technologies, resulting in new research and development pursuits.
Collaborating with Leidos subject matter experts, customer organizations, and other staff to develop differentiated solutions resulting in new business opportunities
Pursuing opportunities to propose our solutions to customers.
Acting as the primary interface with potential customers, presenting solutions and clearly communicating the value of our offerings.
Partnering with the Business Development team to support new business strategies, including the development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, white papers, industry relationships, and responses to RFIs and RFPs
Strengthening existing programs with application of technology and/or innovation
Establishing Leidos best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches related to advanced sensing technologies, artificial intelligence, and modeling and simulation of sensor phenomenology.
Understanding competitor and teammate technology competencies
Assessing and mentoring the technical talent in the organization to meet current and future (new market) business challenges
Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering or physics or related fields with at least 15 years of prior relevant experience or Ph.D. in technical domain mentioned above with at least 13+ years of prior relevant experience in engineering or physics
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
Experience in at least one or more of the following: Electro-optic (EO) and/or radio frequency (RF) sensor system design, EO or RF sensor performance modeling, hardware in the loop testing
Strong technical breadth and depth in support of relevant government markets
Experience as a principal investigator or chief engineer on a complex technology research, development or demonstration program.
Demonstrated technical leadership
Experience in customer relationship building
Demonstrated ability to author, present, and articulate requirements and associated solutions in settings supporting customers and business development
Preferred Qualifications
Active Top Secret clearance
Experience working with the Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Force, DARPA, and/or other government DoD research organizations.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
