We are looking for a strong critical thinker who enjoys working with a team and looking for an opportunity to growth their career in Personal Lines.

Our Account Executive will partner with our sales team, as well as work independently on sales opportunities, to lead day-to-day management of current clients' insurance programs. You will also be provided with administrative help to assist with answering phones, billing, processing, endorsements, certificates, and ID cards.

What You'll Do

Client Support

Lead meetings with clients, including negotiating, selling lines of insurance, and renewal meetings at client locations.

Responsible for providing comprehensive client support and act as main client contact for book of business.

Effectively manage difficult client communications including loss of coverage, claim denials, unfavorable underwriting and other challenging renewal scenarios.

Account Management

Negotiate and sell lines of insurance to clients to round out accounts as appropriate. May design insurance and risk management plans for clients as assigned and directed by Agency management.

Own all audit, review and claims processes for assigned book of business.

Analyze data to draft client service plans, stewardship reports, and other meaningful reports tailored to the needs of the client and circumstances of the presentation.

Insurance Expertise

Manage and develop strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.

Skilled at forecasting industry trends to predict needed changes in client strategies.

Review changes in carrier offerings and policies and relay information to the larger service team and directly to clients, in addition to cross selling other lines of business.

Leadership

Mentor or lead the work of more junior team members.

Facilitate and collaborate with account team on the agency’s renewal strategy.

Client Strategy

Create complex risk-management strategies for accounts and other team members to attract and retain large client accounts.

Partner with industry and carrier experts to deliver strategy and solution options to clients and the broader agency.

Other duties as assigned.

Some travel may be required.

What You'll Need

4+ years of related experience and/or training preferred, or demonstrated skills listed below.

Current Property and Casualty license required

Comprehensive knowledge of available personal lines coverages based on business classification, as well as informed on industry trends and client retention strategies.

Highly developed problem solving and solution-design skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills, as well as the mentoring and guidance of more junior employees.

Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software.

Skilled in use of agency management software with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
