Position Overview:

Ameresco has an opportunity for an Energy Engineering Co-op, based out of our Worthington, Ohio office! You will act as an Energy Engineer Co-Op and help in every aspect of all different types of energy projects. This Co-op will be for our Winter cycle, January - May 2025.

This role is remote friendly, but does require to come into the office to Worthington as needed.

Responsibilities

Implementation – Help our clients identify and implement cost effective Energy Efficiency projects that pay for themselves through savings (e.g. Lighting, HVAC, Controls, VFD’s).

Recovery Services – Assist our clients recoup investments on past, current, and future Energy Efficiency projects (e.g. Utility Programs, PJM, EPACT, Federal, State, Local Grants).

On-Site Generation - Support our clients design, own, and operate on-site generation systems (e.g. Cogeneration, CHP, WER, Solar, Wind).

Energy Efficiency Consulting – Help our clients’ problem solve complex Energy Efficiency problems (e.g. Audits, Assessments, Measurement & Verification, Training).

Responsible for assisting the Smart Building Solutions Engineering team on Energy Services related projects.

Help the team audit facilities, complete energy efficiency calculations, compile a collection of creative ECMs, and help sell projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Working toward a B.S. in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or an M.S. in Renewable & Clean Energy.

Additional Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in MS Office programs with an emphasis on data entry and analytics.

Experience working in the Energy field: particularly with lighting, HVAC, controls, or building envelope.
