Job Description
Overview
AbbVie is seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our Quantitative, Translation & ADME Sciences (QTAS) team in South San Francisco. The QTAS Bioanalytical group develops and implements Ligand binding assays to evaluate pharmacodynamic effects in preclinical studies and clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science. Applicants having experience in R, Python, and Java is highly desirable. The candidate will work with two subject matter experts over a 2 to 3-month period on Proteomic / Olink data management by building a QC result tracking system for multiplex panels.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Learn Olink and understand how to analyze data through manual approaches.
- Implement bioinformatic scripts and develop data analysis approaches for preclinical studies.
- Create Olink summary tables with auto-flagging for retesting.
- Read and discuss emerging literature and science in data analysis.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, data analytics, bioinformatics, or equivalent with an expected graduation date between December 2025 - June 2026.
- Fluency in Java, Python and/or R with exposure to algorithms and data structures.
- Exposure to course work in data sciences, AI, or ML.
