POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:Work with the Technology Innovation team to develop and validate new thermal energy storage, heat rejection, and/or heat transfer technologiesDesign and assemble small and/or medium scale test modulesDesign and run small and/or medium scale performance and reliability testing equipment and proceduresSupport development of numerical performance modeling tools based on the available data setsIdentify and qualify alternative design and materials of construction optionsSupport technology scale-up activities (e.g. product concept development, cost modeling...)QUALIFICATIONS:
Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Materials preferred)Seniors or MS students preferredExperience with 2D and 3D CAD required; experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred but not requiredHands-on machining experience requiredWorking knowledge of design of experiments principlesWorking knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamicsProficient in Excel; advanced knowledge of Excel VBA, Matlab, or similar programming language preferred
BAC Hiring Compensation Range $22 - $28.
BAC provides additional earnings in the form of overtime as applicable under law.
